LIKEN

Liken is an orchestra that is composed of 15 vivid music fierce advocates musicians . Its goal is to spread and broadcast it as widely as possible ; its creativity, richness and its universality. All the musicians are professional ones, coming from multiple traditions and practices (current, ancient, learned and popular). They graduated from Chalon-sur-Saône Conservatory as well from Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. Liken’s uniqueness : all its musicians are impro experts . Its varied and colorful instrumentarium sounds alike an orchestra (winds, strings, drums), but differs by its boldness and its "out of the ordinary" numbers (2 double basses and 2 drums, flute and trombone...) Liken is an artistic project which plays with interactions between place, public and music. Wishing to break the traditional codes of the stage, it offers to revisit the exchanges between public and musicians, with sound creations intended for specially chosen places.
